The flying doctors service in Kenya is run by AMREF (African Medical Research Foundation). This is an air ambulance service that operates from the organization’s headquarters at the Wilson Airport in Langata, Nairobi.

The service owns a fleet of aircraft loaded with medical equipment to perform intensive care procedures on board.

The flying doctors service is important especially in cases of medical emergencies in remote locations.
