Kenya has a well developed air infrastructure with three international airports in Nairobi, Mombasa and Eldoret. This is in addition to over one hundred other airstrips some privately owned.

There are a number of domestic airlines operating between the towns. Kenya Airways has a number of frequent flights to; Kisumu, Lokichoggio, Eldoret, Mombasa, Malindi and Lamu.

Domestic air services are fairly priced with a ticket from Nairobi to Mombasa going for about Ksh 7, 000. Luggage allowance is normally about 20kgs though some flights may allow for as little as 10kgs.

There are a number of airlines and charter services operating from the Wilson airport in Nairobi.

These travel to more remote locations and are frequently used to transport tourists to game parks and reserves. You can consider this as an option to traveling by road for long distances which may take several hours depending on road conditions.
