The Kenyan Agricultural Shows are held each year and are an inherited idea from the agricultural shows held during the British Colonial Period.
Managed and organized by the Agricultural Society of Kenya (ASK) the shows are held at district and provincial levels. The Nairobi International Agricultural Show is the penultimate in the ASK’s calendar and attracts a large number of local and foreign participants. This show is held at the Jamhuri Park at the outskirts of the City.
These shows provide an opportunity to view various agricultural produce and initiatives in the country. Items on show normally include; livestock, farm produce and agricultural equipment. There are also food, drinks and a variety of entertainment for visitors.
